Assembly Technician

Hands-on-experience with mechanical and electrical tools such as drills, solders, screws, bolt and nuts
Providing administrative support in an office environment
Providing on phone troubleshooting to customer
Willing to work on assembly line and/or willing to solder
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Able to work under and meet tight deadlines
Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
Experience in manufacturing and SMD soldering an asset
Experience in embedded systems and hard ware debugging is an asset

A post-secondary school diploma or degree

Willingness and ability to work overtime when required.
Willingness to travel to tradeshows (Canada and US) if required. Travel time is seasonal however, roughly estimated at ~10%.

Job Type: Full-time
Work hours: M-F 7.5 hour days
Salary: $14.00 to $20.00 /hour

Technical Sales Representative

Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with customers to provide solutions through product and application sales
  • Understand the customer’s operating environment and fulfilling timely current and future solutions
  • Initiate and complete sales quotations or proposals for customers
  • Conduct follow up calls to ensure 100% satisfaction and generate a referral base
  • Fulfill all required paperwork and pre-sales administration in compliance with company policies
  • Participate in manufacturing training to gain product knowledge and skill development

Qualifications:

  • Telephone sales or service experience (preferred but not required)
  • Agricultural background (preferred but not required)
  • Exceptional skills with productivity tools such as MS Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and active listening skills
  • Willing to travel within Canada and USA for tradeshows (seasonal <10%, not required during Covid-19)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) 
  • Female 
  • A post-secondary graduate 
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada (no work permits or student visas) 
  • Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations
  • Not in receipt of employment insurance (EI) benefits (you will have withdrawn from EI benefits prior to the project start date)
